Disneyland

I need to blog about this while it's fresh in my brain...it was such a magical, fun day!  We got there about 8:00 and beat the mass crowds for a bit.  Lucy wore a special Snow White outfit that was given to her by one of moms friends.  We'd brought her Cinderella dress with us, but you know Lucy, she adores Snow White.  Probably the most important part of this day for us was getting Lucy to meet her princesses.  Lucy had her sparkly eyes and was raring to go, even on the tram ride over.

We got in and decided we'd hit Dumbo first...that ride always gets long lines and it's not worth a crazy wait.  Cooper rode with me :)

Teacups had no line at all so we did that too, again that line can get nasty!
Gram kept Cooper on that one.  Having three adults there made our day soooo much easier!  We all took turns on rides and keeping Cooper that way no one missed out too much.  We headed to the line to meet princesses next.  We'd heard it gets super long and wanted to get in on it early.  The only bad thing was you didn't know who you were going to meet.  As we waited in line Lucy saw an employee dressed up as a prince she commented "he's a very handsome prince mommy"  While the girls waited for princesses, the boys went on the train that circles the entire park.  Finally we got to the front and we got to meet...
.Belle, she was great!  But Lucy was initially afraid that the beast was going to come out too, so it took some coaxing from mommy :)
But she came around.  Then we got to meet...

Sweet Ariel.  And then there was one more...

Tiana!  Lucy thought she was most beautiful.  All three princesses commented on Lucy's Snow White Dress :)  She was thrilled with who she met, but a little sad that we didn't see Snow White.  We headed off to do some rides.  While the others did cars I went to get some fastpasses.

Notice the driver can't see over the steering wheel :)  Splash Mountain was next.  Lucy had to be measured three times - she's like 40 1/4 inches and the height requirement is 40 inches.  I'm glad they are careful!  Before we got to the big drop on this she had already been covering her eyes.  She did not like the Brer Rabbit story at all.  Then the hill at the end was it for her.  She did not like this ride and said "I do not want to do that again."  Timmy said "That was scary, but I liked it"  Gram & Cooper went on Pooh Bear while we there.

Timmy was anxious to get to Pirates of the Carribean and we did that next.  Lucy, still feeling nervous, was clinging to daddy and saying "you will protect me daddy?"  Not that I like to see her scared, but it's nice to see that relationship between her and Ben.

Cooper was completely unimpressed with Pirates...

We headed to Indiana Jones for Ben, Timmy, and I.  Lucy, Gram, and Cooper went to the Jungle Cruise - a perfect happy, calm ride for Lucy.  Good call from Gram, it definitely got her to relax and she loved it!  We had some lunch and headed to the Haunted Mansion (I know, I know, you're thinking I'm an idiot...)  Lucy thought that was a blast.  I think having a cemetery in your backyard must make that stuff a little less scary.  Afterall this is the girl who likes to go out to the cemetery and pick up any flowers that have been moved by the wind.  Gram happened to notice that Cinderella was out by her castle so we quickly lined up to see her.  She ended up having to leave but SNOW WHITE came out!!!!  Lucy's eyes have never been SO bright!  We stood and waited
First they had to compare capes :)

She wasn't too sure she wanted to leave her, but then we heard someone else was waiting nearby...

Sleeping Beauty!  And then mommy spotted someone else...

Cinderella came back!  We were so excited that Lucy got to meet all those princesses!!!  Cooper was amazing the whole day, I would put him in the sling a lot in lines and he would lean back and just laugh and laugh.

Oh and did I mention the weather was great?!?  It couldn't have been nicer!

Space Mountain was closed for much of the day, a big disappointment for Timmy.  But it did open and we did get a fastpass and make it on.  I wasn't sure if he'd like it or not.  When it got done he said "That was wild but great."  Him and Gram tried to ride it again, but it closed down again.

We managed to stay at the park until 10:00 pm.  I didn't want to leave, it had been such a great day!  It's so much fun to do Disney with your kids!  I had told the kids that we weren't going in any shops until the very very end and at the end we could go in and pick out a souvenir.  So after the last ride I told Lucy we were done.  She says "Is this the very very end?"  I thought she was getting sad...but no she then said "so we can go into a store now?"  That child cracks me up :)  Timmy picked a Tigger pillow pet and Lucy picked a princess necklace and bracelet.

Timmy got this for his birthday and he's been wearing it non-stop since then.  He only wears it on his throwing arm though (and he'll tell you that) because it keeps sweat off his hand.  He cracks me up :)
